Blog Hop WIth Janneke De Jong March 5th 2017

Good Evening,

Tonight the Crazy Crafters Team are blog hopping with Janneke De Jong!

* THEME: CASING Janneke de Jong -
Choose a card/project of Janneke's and CASE - Copy And Selectively Edit.

Janneke is a talented Stamper and has many Beautiful creations, so we were very spoilt for choice.
I found about 5 cards that I really liked and had trouble deciding which ones.
I finally settled on 2 and created both of them.

The first card I decided to CASE was this one that Janneke blogged  on 22 July 2016

The pop of Pink is what drew my attention to this card.
The stamp set and image I had in mind to use would be quiet colourful.
I thought this layout would suit perfectly.

I decided to used Peekaboo peach as its a colour I don't really used all that often.
I used the "Hey Chick" stamp set
It can be chosen from our Sale-A-Bration catalogue when making a $90 purchase from any of our catalogues.
I stamped my image and sentiments in Peekaboo peach to get them to pop.
Just because I coloured the feathers in crazy colours I used those same crazy colours to do my splotches with.
I used some washi tape and I made my flag from "Cupcakes and Carousels" Designer Series Paper.
It can be found in our Occasions Catalogue.

inside I used some more washi tape to just accent the sides.
I also stamped my sentiment in peek a boo peach
I think the card has a cute and fun feel to it.

The second card of Janneke's that I CASEd is this stunning floral card.
This was blogged about on 9 June 2013

My mind instantly went to a technique I saw Sandy MacIver do called black magic.
I incorporated it into my design,

this is what I created

I chose to use Vibrant colours again. I chose Island Indigo and Rose Red against Whisper White.

I embossed 3/4 of the Rose Red cardstock with the Decorative Dots embossing folder. layered it onto the island Indigo card stock
I made my label using the oval stitched framelits on whisper white and inked the edges in Island Indigo.

To create my flowers I stamped the solid flower from Avant Garden onto black cardstock using the White Craft ink. I restamped 3 times to ensure a good coverage of ink.
when the Ink was dried completely I then coloured over the entire stamped image with white water colour pencils.
I then layered the colour I wanted my flower to be until it had a thick coverage.
then I layered a third colour into the center of my flower.
Once I was happy with all my layers and coverage of colour, I used my Aqua Painter to blend the colours and lift through the white ink from below to create the effect.
once everything was completely dry I edged the flowers and added some dots to the center in white Gel Pen.

I mounted them to the front of my card using Dimensionals

I stamped My sentiment inside and added another of the flowers for a little highlight inside.

I really enjoyed making these cards. the vibrancy and textures that add that little something extra gave me so much inspiration,

Thank you Janneke for being a fantastic inspiration.
