A Productive Week

Good Afternoon,
Hope you are all having a great day.

What a week I have had!

I have been quiet busy being creative in my craft room. Making cards for some very special people in life. I have made cards from Birth to Death and everything in between.

As well as creating for the Blog Hops I participate in.

All In all a very productive week

CARD 1
This card was made using embossing the sentiment and then sponging the colours over it. The embossing rejects the ink so you get the white sentiment coming through.
This is one of my favourite techniques, though I don't get to use it as much as I would like.

I used the NEW Dragonfly Dreams stamp set from our  Occasions catalogue.
I also used some glitter card stock ( new product , available February 21st to March 31st in the Sale-A-Bration catalogue)
You can not buy this, you can however earn it for FREE!! Its super easy all you have to do is choose any 1 item from the Sale-A-Bration catalogue for every $90 spent
then I have used some lace and an a Rhinestone for a little bling

CARD 2

I got the idea for this Card from one of my Crazy Crafter team mates Rosalie Desmond so credit for this idea goes to her.

(she made a shaker card with the Tasty Truck stamp set that gave me the idea)
You can see her card by clicking this link

Thank You Rose.

I decided As this was for my Nephew Isack's Birthday I would have a play and try and make a taco for the sentiment "lets taco 'bout how awesome you are" just to add a little something extra.
I inked up some tissue and cut into thin strips in two different shades of green to make lettuce.
I made some small circles and inked them in real red for tomato.
Lastly I just inked some cardstock in crushed curry and cut in this strips to create grated cheese.
To make the taco I punched Whisper white cardstock with my 1 1/4 inch scallop punch and inked it using Delightful Dijon, then folded it half and stamped the sentiment on it.

To put the taco together I put a small amount of Tombow liquid multi glue inside the taco.

. Then placed my lettuce tissue in. Once I was happy with the lettuce placement I then arranged the tomato so it stack down.
I then let the cheese card fall into place. I let this dry.

Once dry I picked the taco up to see what feel off and individually glued them back in with a small tack of Tombow glue.

I m happy with the way it turned out
(though next time ill stamp the sentiment the other way so the taco is sitting the right way up)

I made cupcakes, ice creams and Tortes for inside the shaker.

I glued a couple in the view of the window, the rest are  floating but  you cant really see them in the photo.

Card 3

I Cased this Card from Tanya De Roy @ Ink Responsibly  at the request of my son.
He wanted me to make it for his friends that are about to have their first baby.

I had so much fun making this card. I created this card using The moon Baby stamp set, I also used paper from the new Cupcakes and Carousels Designer series Paper stack.
all found in our current Occasions catalogue.
I also used glitter paper from the Sale-A- Bration catalogue ( glitter paper available from 21st feb along with a few other new products)
Remember you can only earn these products by making a purchase of $90
AND THEN YOU CAN CHOOSE IT FOR FREE!!

I watched Tanya's video instructions and found them quiet easy to follow.

I made a little tag to explain to the recipient how to use the spinner, as not everyone has seen these cards before

I am hoping to make a video tutorial of this card this week.
I will then post a link to my tutorial.

I am loving learning new ideas and techniques from my fellow crafters.
I'm also loving creating cards from scratch.
I cant believe it wasn't that long ago I would not have attempted to make a card.
I was a sworn scrap booker only
Its amazing what we can do if we stop telling ourselves we cant, and have a go!!
